The first two days of early voting saw more Republicans turn out to vote in person and more Democrats submit mail ballots.
More Republicans than Democrats turned out to cast their ballots on Saturday, the first day of early voting in Nevada, according to statewide totals.
Statewide totals showed 28.1 percent of Saturday ballots were cast by voters registered as Democrats, 52.8 percent by registered Republicans and 19.2 percent by independents.
Three in 10 Nevada residents identify as Latino and the demographic is estimated to account for 20 percent of the state’s total vote in the general election.
