With 14 years of experience, Brittany graduated with a BM in Jazz Studies on tenor saxophone in 2017. Her sound has been uniquely shaped by her father’s vast collection of vintage American horns and early exposure to funk as well as her love for Dexter Gordon and John Coltrane and the influence of Chris Potter and Joel Frahm.

Brittany’s music education journey has included music scholarships the San Jose Jazz Summer Camp, and from both West Valley College and San Jose State University. She currently teaches for the San Jose Jazz Progressions Program, Orange Music Studio, and Davis Caroline Intermediate school. She currently performs with many ensembles including 7th Street Big Band, Bitches Brewin’, Amy Unauthorized, Brittany Biala Jazz Combo, and many freelance jazz combos.

With these ensembles, Brittany has had the opportunity of performing at venues such as: The Catalyst, Cafe Stritch, The Art Boutiki, The Tabard Theatre, Flight Wine Bar & Cafe, Cinnabar Winery, Forager Tasting Room & Eatery, J. Lohr Winery, The Hammer Theatre, Kaffeehaus, Cafe Pink House, Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph, The Biltmore Hotel, and countless private party venues including museums, outdoor patios, corporate offices, restaurants, and private residencies.

She is available for private instruction in saxophone, clarinet, flute, theory, and piano as well as booking for music entertainment.
